In April, we made a significant improvement to the way we pay you. The introduction of the new Supplemental Commission Statement was something many plan advisors were anxious to receive. In the past, due to the variety of systems in use, some plan advisors might have received up to five different payments and statements in a single pay period. Now, those five payments and statements have been reduced to one per pay period and per selling code.
Reducing the number of statements that plan advisors received was important, but it was only part of the solution. Making the information easy for plan advisors to understand and use meant starting with a clean sheet of paper and building from there.
"We spoke with advisors to learn what they wanted," says Henry Chudak, VP of Group Distribution. "The end result is a Supplemental Commission Statement that has been created to meet the specific needs of group producers. It's a very straightforward, clean-looking statement that contains the information plan advisors want and need."
